I find it funny really. Morbid humour I guess, but funny nonetheless. I watched Tony Blair and President Bush and so on and so forth repeat the same lines over and over again. "We will not lose to terrorism". Here's the funny part. How can you win the war on terrorism, when the enemies' playing the the cloak and dagger against you? We certainly can try, but terrorism cannot be uprooted completely. Never. Osama's probably having tea in his cave around a campfire laughing his sand-filled ass off. He knows his fighting dirty and he loves it. The known world can't find him and his lackeys are crawling all over the place doing his work for him. Even if Osama does get caught, another will surely take his place. It's kinda like a vicious cycle. Hehe... I just thought of something. For those who know Darwin's theory of evolution, are we like the rest of the species before us, birthed to only in the end annihilate one another until there are none of us left? Let's face it. We ARE the superior race here. Nothing even comes close. According to Darwin, the only way we'll get extinct is either we get fried by a superior race, or we kill each other off. The later looks more likely. As for the conspiracy theory buffs, chew on this. Do you know why Metal Gear Solid is such a popular game? It's so cause the story it tells is believable in our present context. What if there is a secret council of members like the LaLiLuLeLo in MGS? This council has no allegience to any nation. It only serves its own interest and its members come from different countries all over the world, holding high appointments in their own states. This council's sole purpose is to move we, the human race, as a whole through the times, ensuring that there is a balance of power throughout the nations. Now here comes the chewy part. We all know that 9/11 was one of the MAIN reasons why the Iraq War began. What if, 9/11 was a planned event? The council made 9/11 happen because they wanted the US to crush Iraq, having the knowledge that Iraq REALLY had WMDs. Without 9/11 as a catalyst, the Iraq War might have been years in the making, or it might not have happened at all. Think back to WW2. Germany, under the deranged genius Hitler, swept through Europe together with his Axis partners in the Balkans and the Pacific including Asia. What if Hitler WAS a member of this council? Could it be that he was given the task of not making Germany great, but to just ensure that the then 2 world superpowers, America and Britain, be weakened so much that they will not swallow the world whole just as they were doing before WW2? America was becoming too rich for itself and Britain was sprouting its own colonies every few years. At the end, Hitler killed himself because he knew he had lost the war. Or was it? Could he have killed himself because he knew capture will reveal the existence of this council? Or was he assasinated by an agent of the council because Hitler was getting too powerful for the council's comfort? Hitler was a great speaker. He began as a failed artist, to a youth voicing out his frustration, to the leader of a political party and finally the Fuhrer of Germany. Did things just fall in place for him, or did he receive some boosts from somewhere? These are just some conspiracy examples. I'm bored and tired. You are probably too by now... but stop and think awhile.. these things may be ludicrius, but are they not possible? The 2012 Olympics sure started early this decade.

Too lazy for Becks..

Not really sure what's happening to me of late.. I'm feeling tired and lethargic all the time. I'm not sick or anything... just lazy.. one of my lazy spells. Maybe I'm still recovering from my weekend exertion... I don't really know but I've not been the same after the photo assignment. Drove to school early today cause Gerald, Beicheng and gang wanted to discuss the comm skills project. Didn't really accomplish anything as usual... it's due in 3 weeks time but I can't really care less to be honest. I've got a Media project bout MJ due on thurs.. Gary has been doing all the work for this one and the rest of us are beginning to feel guilty. Seriously though, I feel we can talk our way out of this one without doing much research. Honest. The Understanding Media lecture tommorrow is cancelled and that means I have no school tommorrow! Sounds really sweet, but the gang want me back so that we can gather all our info on MJ and compile it into something readable. I'm like... shit. Finally we get a day off and I have to go back?! I can't really comment anymore without f**cking up the readers. The key here is we have to link how MJ's media influences have affected us. Giving a biography about MJ will only score us 50%.. we've gotta bring our personal experiences into the picture. THAT, my friends cannot be researched... either that or I'm too lazy. I'll go f**ck myself then. Ok, a change of topic. 2 miracles happened today. The first lesser miracle was Becks actually came to lowly NYP. I know he's in town to promote London to the IOC... but didn't know he would drop by. When I was walking in from the main entrance, saw a large shitload of people at the atrium. At first I thought it was some blood drive or something... the weather being very hot recently, NYPians have decided to part with some blood to feel cooler. I was fine with that really. Only found out about the whole beckham affair later on. Heard he wore a white chink outfit. Quite ironic actually. He being the great westerner turns up in our dress, while we the chinese wear western clothes. Bet you feel like an ass harh Becks? That's what you get for walking out on Man U you lousy f**ck. It's alright... we've got Park Ji Sung. Korean soccer kimchi! All will wait and see. Ahem.. the second far greater miracle was that I actually passed my understanding media quiz. "Quiz"... lousy nazi lecturers.. since when does a "quiz" take up 20% of the term marks and supplementary paper upon failure?! That's a "Test". Get your vocabulary right.

Wake me up when my shoebox ends..

My weekends don't feel like weekends since Darth Soon started dishing out assignments. Fridays feel like weekends instead. My photo assignment is due tommorrow and f**king good riddance!!! I don't really care about the grades for the photos anymore.. I'm gonna wash my hands off them. However, there's pain in the ass 2... the shoebox. A better part of my weekend was spent doing it up.. it looks pretty great compared to when I first started, but that doesn't really matter to you harh Darth Soon?! You know what? Look at my face... I don't really care yah. I'm gonna hand it up week after next and you're gonna sit your ass down and fail me if you can. Ok, I'm getting cranky... you'll be too if your weekend involved ONLY scissors, cardboard, paper, glue and a damn shoebox.. sayonara weekend.

Shananana... shananana... heyheyhey, goodbye..

Just had a shower and I feel great. Tired, but still great. You know when you attend a BBQ and stuff, your hair gets all greasy and your skin feels no different from the grill you're cooking your stuff on? Sucks shit.. We had Peiwen's farewell dinner at Marina South today. Didn't really eat much... we were playing with the food more than anything else... beers came into the picture and everyone was stoned one way or another. It was really something... a pity to those who didn't go. After the meats, ice-creams and beers, we went to the nearby arcade for some last minute R&R. I'll tell you... I'm getting hooked on Guitar Freaks man. The version I played with Gerald, Marcus and Gary was the 6th Mix version and it was freaking DIFFICULT. Whacked $10 into the game and finally got the hang of it. One thing however.. 6th Mix doesn't have nice tracks. All of it is simple rhythm with no or little vocals. However, it was still a blast to play. Oh, Special Needs came up with alot of potential killa songs today man. "Boulevard of Blowing D**ks", "Wake me up when my sh**ting ends", "My Mum has got it going on" and a bonus track by Gerald, "Spiral into the deepest depths of my heart". Came to a decision that we'll gonna jam together soon... but I'm rather doubtful about Beicheng's sense of rthym on the drums... he certainly likes to whack stuff REALLY hard. Alrighty... I'm shagged out. Time really seems to flash by us harh.. it's week 5 already and Peiwen's leaving us. We may have said our goodbyes, but we'll meet again. Best of Luck to you, Peiwen. Group 9, best there is, best there was, best there ever will be...

Marcus saw purple and I laughed..

<--- The Special Needs. I had a quiz at 8, which I know I'm gonna flunk.. we were done by 9+ and we had a semi-breakfast before going to Art Friend in Bras Basah for some materials. I bought 2 bloody A2 mounting boards for my photos plus a A1 compressed foam for the damn shoebox... had to carry these shits around AND take photos at the same time later on. Trust me, A1 foam is f**king huge. Darth Soon better be worth it. Now for the prized find of the day! I found a place where they actually sell guitars for $50!!! That comes with a case and the guitar is brand new... not the strings though... but $50! Even green-peace don't sell guitars this cheap. Had lunch and went around peninsula, esplanade and clark quay to take photos. The pictures were suppose to be for our assignments, but as usual, we ended up taking cock-shots all over the place... but we took some really damn sweet shots. The "Special Needs" also posed for a band photo in Raffles Plaza. Oh, Special Needs is the name of the band we're forming soon. It's gonna be a blast, guranteed. Ended off the day watching "War of the Worlds" at cine. It was a sweet show, no doubt about that. REALLY NICE EFFECTS, I mean REALLY. There'll be no spoilers here, so pay your $9 and see for yourself. Last but not least, the title of this post is NOT cock. Marcus DID see "purple" and I really god damn laughed my balls off. Marcus and I will bear the scars and we'll spare you the horror story. Right, Marcus? shit...... lol

Not having the power to point..

Went to school damn early today for some research in the library for my shoebox.. managed to doodle pictures from some books down onto my scrapbook just before the gang arrived. As usual, things will never get done with the class around.. we were suppose to meet for our understanding media project about MJ.. I found myself sitting on the library floor strumming a guitar Gerald brought, singing off-key to the APPRECIATION of the home crowd. The only thing really fruitful about the afternoon was that Marcus, Gerald and I decided to form a band in the near future. We'll be called "Special Needs". I'll be the lead singer, Marcus the lead guitar with Gerald on support and bass. All we need next is a drummer.... we even named our first single, "Teacher said I so tupid!" Sounds like a guranteed runaway hit yah! Talking about singing, nyp had a chinese singing fella visit today... Jones Shi Firelight or something like that... hehe.. firelight.. must be really running out of names. How about Jones Shi Shi Shi?! Okok, that was a cheapshot but I couldn't resist it alright?! Back again, you should have seen the female legion at the Arts Center man.. Jones Shi must be really somebody, with all those people there and all. Then again, with homegrown talents like Taufiq, Sylvester and this Shi, it really leaves much to be desired. Yah yah yah... how about Stefenie Sun and gang? My answer to you. If they didn't make it to taiwan would they be really famous? I doubt so. Quite sad really... where are all the local rock acts? S'pore needs something more angsty in my opinion, like Linkin Park or something... a band to really stick it to the man you know. The youths of S'pore really need a voice. I'll wait for that day. I've got a Understanding Media quiz at 8 in the MORNING tommorrow. Sadistic Bastards... The best part? The notes are all in powerpoint format and I don't have powerpoint. What? Don't look at me like that.. Darth Soon rejected all my design photos again. My weekend wasted within 5 mins.. she said that my photos didn't tell a story... they had no feeling in them. I'll give you feelings! Biatch! FEEEEEL my hand across your face! Ahem... ok. After all that, we had creative process by the same teach. Out of the blue, she says that today she'll be evaluating our shoeboxes and it'll be upon 20. I died right there right then.. I spent my weekend on photos and vcds! What's there to see about my shoebox?! "I'm sorry Edwin... You didn't do enough this week... I'll have to flunk you." She then gives me a 10/20.... 10/20!!!! That's a pass Mrs Soon! What happened to "I'll have to flunk you Edwin"?! The standard of english nowadays.. Now here comes the tragic part. My friend did this really nice concept for his shoebox. He actually CHANGED his entire shoebox into a treasure chest. You could sense the blood, shit and tears he put into the box itself. Darth Soon had a look at the box and said that the shoebox really didn't resemble his character. (For the newcomers, the shoebox is suppose to represent ourself. Our appearance and character.) All the effort down the drain... She did say that she could see the effort, but it was wasted. My friend got 14 in the end. Come on! At least give the guy a point or two higher for the effort! But really... there's no sympathy from the cold and the heartless yah? Ended off the day sleeping through 2 lectures. The best part about this was that I was on the 2nd row! I'm a god damned genius.. It's 10pm now.. I think I'll go for a run.
